Les and Jackie Connell were married in 1968 while Les was serving as an officer in the US Army. In 1971, they purchased a small nursing home just outside of Portland. In 1975, the first of their three daughters was born. In 1980, the Connell’s purchased Rogue Valley Care Center and for the next 14 years, Jackie was an LPN/Administrator of their nursing home. In 1993, they broke ground on Southern Oregon’s first assisted living center. Les retired from his job at the US Forest Service in 1994, got his Administrators' license and began managing Northridge Center. Shortly after, they closed the nursing home and converted it into more assisted living apartments.
Les and Jackie are so blessed to have all 3 of their daughters working at Northridge. Memory, the middle daughter has always loved being a part of Northridge. Over the years, Memory has done almost every job at Rogue Valley Care Center and Northridge Center. She came to work at Northridge fulltime in 2004 as the bookkeeper/marketing and soon took her administrators' course. Memory has been the Operating Administrator at Northridge ever since and is now the Executive Director overseeing the daily management of the Assisted living, Senior Adult Day Care, and Foster Home.
Memory has three children: Alex, Cassie, and Gabe. Alex is the oldest and has been working at Northridge off and on for several years. He is interested in following in his mom's footsteps and running Northridge. He lives with his wife Denisse in Corvallis, as they are both going to college at OSU.
